The Zirkie aisle
Ten toys, twenty cards. Every Zirkie was nearly a real toy. Good sides are reliable: three solid icons. Mischief sides carry the wild wobbly, and something always goes wrong. Tap a card to flip it.
Why Marmalade is wonky
The flaw: his mould came out with one tooth too long — a snaggletooth — and his coat went through the colour press on a day it jammed, so it has every colour.
The gift: he can't stop smiling, so nobody in his tent ever feels unwelcome; and you can spot his coat from anywhere, so you're never lost.
“Blink and you'll miss the good part.”
Why Fizzgiggle is wonky
The flaw: her feet never reached the base of the mould, so she can't stand — she floats one inch above the ground.
The gift: she never trips, never gets wet socks, and can cross anything that's only an inch deep.
“Today's forecast: one hundred percent chance of marvellous.”
Why Noodle-Bolt is wonky
The flaw: his wind-up key was fitted backwards, so he runs in reverse — he finishes inventions before he starts them.
The gift: by the time trouble arrives, he has already built the answer. He just doesn't know what it's for yet.
“I didn't mean to invent Tuesday, but here we are.”
Why Chipperidoo is wonky
The flaw: his space helmet was moulded two sizes too big; when he turns his head, the helmet stays where it was.
The gift: there's room in there for snacks, a spare map and one small friend.
“Have a chipperidoo day!”
Why Marshmallow is wonky
The flaw: the machine overstuffed her. She's too soft to sit up straight and is always gently leaning on something.
The gift: the best hug ever made, and she lands softly from any height.
“Never trust a day without one nap and one miracle.”
Why Tin-Whisker Toby is wonky
The flaw: clockwork fox assembled with one gear too many. It didn't fit anywhere, so it hangs outside his chest and ticks.
The gift: the spare gear fits into whatever else is broken. He is, functionally, a walking spare part.
“Every broken thing is just a robot that hasn't met me yet.”
Why Mushroom Marshal is wonky
The flaw: a cotton-candy cloud creature whose sheriff's badge was printed upside down.
The gift: reading the world upside down, the Marshal spots things everyone else walks past — which is why the Marshal keeps the hunt (ties to the site's egg hunt, see A6).
“Look again. Upside down this time.”
Why Oddessa is wonky
The flaw: one of her eyes came off the line as a gear instead of an eye.
The gift: the gear-eye sees roads that aren't on any map.
“Lost is just a place I haven't named yet.”
Why Sparkler is wonky
The flaw: the fire part was never installed. Sparkler breathes confetti.
The gift: anything Sparkler looks at becomes a celebration.
“They warned you about dragons. Nobody warned you about me.”
Why Ribbiton is wonky
The flaw: a frog with a tooth. Frogs don't have teeth. The mould did it anyway — and the crown went on crooked.
The gift: he can open any jar in the kingdom, and he's learned that a crooked crown still counts.
“Ribbit. Royally.”
